Why Do I Compare Myself to Everyone Else?
Understanding comparison, insecurity and self-worth

Comparing yourself with other people is a normal human tendency. Problems can arise when comparison becomes constant or is used as evidence that you are not good enough.
Social media can intensify this because you are often comparing your real life with carefully selected versions of other people's lives.
Comparison can also become a way of trying to establish where you stand socially or whether you are safe and accepted.
Developing stronger self-worth can reduce the need to constantly measure yourself against other people.
The goal isn't to stop noticing other people's achievements. It is to stop using them as proof that you are somehow less valuable.
