Can Hypnotherapy Help With Public Speaking Anxiety?

Developing calm confidence when all eyes are on you

Public speaking anxiety can cause intense nervousness before or during presentations, meetings, speeches or performances.
You may worry about forgetting what to say, being judged, looking nervous, making a mistake or embarrassing yourself.
The body's stress response can then create symptoms such as a racing heart, trembling, sweating or difficulty concentrating, which can make the fear feel even more convincing.
Hypnotherapy may help change the emotional response associated with being watched or evaluated while reinforcing confidence, focus and calmness.
Practical preparation is also important. Rehearsing your presentation, becoming familiar with the material and gradually increasing your experience of speaking in front of others can reinforce your confidence.
The aim isn't necessarily to eliminate every nervous feeling. A certain level of nervousness can be normal. The goal is to prevent anxiety from taking control.
