Does Hypnotherapy Really Work?
Understanding what hypnotherapy can and cannot do

Hypnotherapy can be an effective therapeutic approach for some people, particularly when unwanted thoughts, emotions, habits or behaviours have become automatic and difficult to change through conscious effort alone.
Hypnotherapy combines therapeutic techniques with a state of focused attention and relaxation commonly known as hypnosis. During this state, you remain aware and able to communicate, while your attention may become more focused on particular thoughts, feelings, memories or suggestions.
The effectiveness of hypnotherapy depends on several factors, including the issue being addressed, your individual circumstances, your willingness to engage with the process and the therapeutic approach being used. No responsible practitioner should promise that hypnotherapy will produce an instant or guaranteed result.
Hypnotherapy may be used to support issues such as anxiety, confidence, unwanted habits, emotional eating, phobias, stress, sleep difficulties and other emotional wellbeing concerns.
At Inner Peace Talk Therapy, the aim is to understand what is maintaining the problem rather than simply treating the surface symptom. Hypnotherapy can then be combined with appropriate therapeutic techniques to help you develop different ways of thinking, feeling and responding.
