What Is the Difference Between Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy?
Understanding hypnosis as a therapeutic process

Hypnosis and hypnotherapy are related, but they are not exactly the same thing. Hypnosis describes a state of focused attention and increased absorption in which the mind can become more receptive to suggestions and therapeutic ideas.People naturally experience similar states during activities such as daydreaming, becoming absorbed in a book, or driving a familiar route without consciously noticing every detail.
Hypnotherapy is the therapeutic use of hypnosis as part of a structured approach to psychological and emotional change. A trained hypnotherapist may use hypnosis alongside therapeutic conversation, relaxation techniques, psychological approaches, NLP, Havening or other appropriate techniques depending on the person's needs.
The purpose is not simply to put someone into a trance. The aim is to help them develop different responses to thoughts, emotions, behaviours and situations that may have become automatic over time.
At Inner Peace Talk Therapy, hypnotherapy is personalised around the individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all script.
